We had a great turnout of members at our AGM last night.
Pleasingly nine of the eleven committee members were returned, with Dr David Walder again leading the way as President. Two members, Erika Gee-Kot and Brett Lacy, have stepped aside due to other commitments and they were were thanked for their time and effort. Our new general committee members are Jay Bennett and Shane Gatgens, and we welcome them on-board.
The highlight of the night was the Treasurers report, with a fantastic surplus reported, a staggering turn around from a significant loss last season, and a massive reward for the efforts of our committee and volunteers.
It was highlighted that sponsorship was a major contributor to the improvement, with a 50% increase in revenue. We are so grateful to have such amazing support from our sponsors and we hope that it can continue for many years to come.
A number of reports were also tabled and discussed from the President, Juniors, Female Football, Senior Football and Marketing & Media. We also had an update from Peter Preece on the proposals for Stage 2 of the Belchers Road Sports Precinct (incorporating Stockdale & Leggo Oval), There is $8.5 mill of Government funds available for this project and the council will soon be releasing their final Masterplan.
