U14 Little (Div3) vs Torquay Millikan

FINAL SCORES Drysdale 10.12.72 defeated Torquay 6.3.39
Best on PlayHQ: Callan Atkinson, Kade Little, Keegan Johnson, Jude Collins, Max Reid, Oliver Griffiths

Coach Adam Little and his under 14's were up against Torquay, who needed to win to stay in finals contention.

Our boys got off to a great start with the mid field getting on top early. This lead to 3 quick goals by our centre half forward Callan Atkinson.
Around the 2nd quarter we allowed them back into the contest, with one man down, because of undisciplined play.
To the boys credit we came out after half time and controlled the game to the end. Finishing with a win 72 - 39
Best players Callan Atkinson with 6 goals and mid fielders Kade Little, Keegan Johnson, Max Reid. Ruckman Jude Collins and wing man Oliver Griffiths. Adam.

U15 Shawhurst (Div2) vs Leopold

FINAL SCORES Drysdale 2.6.18 defeated Leopold.0.0.0
Best on PlayHQ: Caitlin Bell, Bonnie Everett, Evie Perez, Ava Chapman, Emma Deretic

Coaches Adam Shawcross and Glenn Smedhurst had high hopes for the under 15 girls this year and they haven't disappointed. They have finished equal second, missing out on a prelim final by percentage. They'll head into the elimination final next weekend in good form. Go girls!

Adam says "The girls have improved so much through the year and deserve there chance to play finals."

U16 Carmichael (Div2) vs Bell Park Yockins

FINAL SCORES Drysdale 8.9.57 defeated Bell Park 3.3.21
Best on PlayHQ - Anthony Rizzo, Koby Millar-Burton, Daniel Fragapane, Joshua Davitt, Jasper Clark, Cody Williams

Currently sitting 6th with one game to go. Beating 3rd placed Bell Park, the ladder is tight with the boys facing 4th placed South Barwon Holz next weekend. Here's what the coach said;

Wet conditions greeted the team with an emphasis on a team first attitude. This was evidenced in the first quarter when Harry put his body on the line in a contest and suffered a concussion and was unable to play the rest of the game . Harry’s courage set the tone for the whole game. The boys started the game strongly kicking 3 goals and keeping Bell Park goalless and taking a 18 point lead at the first break .
We kicked a further goal in the second and kept the opposition goalless again. We lost another player for the game with Macca injuring his ankle leaving us with one on the bench . It was a superb first half by the team keeping the 3rd place team goalless and taking a 27 point lead into the main break.
It was going to take a massive effort to keep the intensity going with one on the bench, losing two valuable players against a strong opposition who were always going to fight back .
The third quarter saw us extend our lead to 6 goals and we seemed to have the game in our control .
The final quarter saw both teams kick 2 goals and the team take out a sweet and well deserved 36 point win .The win has been coming for a few weeks now and something the boys truly deserved .
Best Players - all 21 players

U18's Div3 vs East Geelong

FINAL SCORES Drysdale 14.11.95 defeated East Geelong 2.4.16
Best PlayHQ: Nothing recorded.

A great percentage driven win coming into finals. Currently sitting a game clear on top of the ladder the side will face the three sides sitting below them in the coming weeks.

For Coach Damo having 23 players available on Thursday night, then hit heavy with illness and only 18 available to begin the game.

It was a day of consistent rain which was going to make it difficult conditions for footy.
The first quarter saw East have a bit of control early but failed to score, from then the boys lifted and adapted to the conditions heading into quarter time with a 5 goal lead. Quarter 2 was a good quarter for us managing another 5 goals going into half time with a 10 goal lead. The second half conditions didn't ease and the boys had to grind out the second half with little rotation running out with a good 79 point victory.
Just prior to the end, within the last minute, Luke Preece entered the game in what was a great feeling for all. Very pleased with the effort from all players as we continue to move closer to finals. Damo.

Reserves vs Anglesea

FINAL SCORES Drysdale 18.9.117 defeated Anglesea 2.7.19
Best on PlayHQ: George Christofi, Nick Moriarty, Billy Collins, Mason Davis, Jake Hargreaves.
Reserves coach Trev had this to say - We had a great win against Anglesea in pretty wet conditions, after a really strong start they managed to control the contest all day finishing with a resounding 98 point victory. Better players were George Christofi, Billy Collins and Mase Davis and goals were shared between Nick Moriarty 5, Jake Hargraeves 5 and Charlie Woodford 4.

Senior Female vs Torquay

FINAL SCORES Drysdale 1.2.8 were defeated by Torquay 6.5.41
Best on PlayHQ: Rayleane Roberts, Emma Timms, Caitlin Redmond, Jessie Morrow, Tahli Benson.
The Drysdale Senior Women’s team has had a fantastic home and away season finishing the year in second place. After the departures of some key players in the offseason the Hawks fielded the youngest and most inexperienced team in the club’s history. But the side quickly gelled, playing a fast paced, team first brand of footy and registering impressive wins against all other teams in the division. The finals start this week with a huge semi against St Joseph’s. The team is fit and firing and ready to give it their all on their beloved home ground - Mortimer Oval. Win this one and we’re in the Grand Final. Go Hawks!! Stu Coach Senior Women.

Senior Men vs Anglesea

FINAL SCORES Drysdale 13.13.91 defeated Anglesea 7.9.51
Best on PlayHQ: Tom Ruggles, Tevan Nofi, Mitchell Clark, Mitchell Scott, Nicholas Egan, Ben Ryan.
