Doc's Diary
The senior men’s football home and away season has wrapped up, and what a great year it has been so far for our Drysdale Hawks. A record of seventeen wins and one loss has been a fantastic achievement. Second place and a qualifying final this weekend is the reward, with our game being played this Saturday against Barwon Heads at Portarlington. Congratulations to Binga and Ruggsy on raising the standards, and we’re looking forward to an exciting month of football. Special acknowledgement to Matt Hebbard on winning the league goalkicking with 87 goals.
Trev’s twos have also had a great season, finishing second, and lining up this week against Ocean Grove, also on Saturday at Portarlington.
Our women’s football and several junior sides also played finals, and it’s great to see so many supporters getting along to cheer them on. Be sure to check out the weekend wrap for results.
Our under 14’s will head into their second week of finals up against Geelong Amos this Sunday 12pm at Hamlyn Park, Bell Park Sport and Rec Club.
Our netball teams have also had a great year, with several teams making the finals. A grade will be taking on Modewarre this Sunday down at Portarlington.
Well it’s an exciting time to be down at the Hawks Nest, with a huge month ahead of us. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone get along to cheer on the brown and gold.
WE NEED YOUR FEEDBACK
the Drysdale Football Club Committee would like to here from Members of the community on whether they would like the Club to remain at the Drysdale Recreation Reserve. The Committee is happy to pursue the upgrade of facilities if that is the general consensus.
