Welcome to DRYSDALE FOOTBALL CLUB
Drysdale Football Club, is situated in the middle of the Bellarine Pennisula and forms an integral part of the Drysdale and Clifton Springs communities by providing a great football environment for in excess of 500 local footballers, of which 400 are in under age programs. We are well supported by our local communities in our endeavours to be the benchmark of local football within the Bellarine Football and Geelong Junior Football leagues.
The Drysdale Hawks Senior team is a strong competitive side in the Bellarine Football League. The teams most recent success was in 2009 and 2010 with back to back premierships wins.
The Drysdale Football Club has a short but proud history as a forerunner for female football in the Geelong region, starting with it’s first team in 2010 competing in the Youth Girls competition.
In 2015 we were one of just 3 clubs in the first Junior Girls U12 league & in 2017 we were the first club on the Bellarine to field a Senior Womens Team, playing in the Ballarat Goldfields league.
In 2019 we have teams in the Senior Women’s, U15’s &
U12 AFL Barwon competitions.
At Drysdale we are focussed on developing young footballers to become the best that they can be, both on the field and off the field. We therefore understand that as these players mature into young adults their needs no longer align to those of Juniors, and so we manage them within a separate division of the club called Youth Football.
Drysdale Football Club fields teams in the Geelong Junior Football League in age groups from U9 to U15. We currently cater for over 240 boys and girls in these sections plus 100 in Auskick (see Auskick details below).
NAB AFL Auskick is simply the best introduction for kids into the world of Australian Football. Auskickers run, jump, kick, laugh, express themselves and create their own special moments that just happens to be footy. No matter if you know the game or not, Auskick is safe and inclusive for everyone aged 5-12 at any ability to play.
